EDUCATION POLICY

Light House aims to be the regions centre for media education at all levels. Our life long learning remit is to encourage creativity through the experience of video, short film and animation production.

Our specialist media knowledge is transferred through practical workshops, information, advice and guidance, accredited training, bespoke specialist courses and master classes.

Light House’s aim is to support all platforms of learning, from young people, new entrants through to established creative enterprises.

We aim for quality at all times and our workshops are led by professional filmmakers and animators and industry experts who have all been cleared through disclosure/police checks.

Creativity and media education can encourage learning and enhance many areas of the curriculum such as literacy, problem solving, enterprise and employability, self esteem and motivation. Our workshops can also be used to engage parents and the community and to support creative teaching.

For a detailed costing or to talk through your ideas, please get in touch with Kathryn Kliszat, Educational Projects Co-ordinator at Light House, tel: 01902 716055 or email: kathryn@light-house.co.uk
